The sophisticated elegance of The Scoular Building Ballroom offers a unique setting for your special occasion. Located within the historically renovated Scoular Building, the Ballroom was designed to accommodate a variety of functions. From private or corporate meetings and banquets to wedding receptions and theatrical productions, The Scoular Building Ballroom creates an elegant backdrop to your occasion.

Featuring a full stage with lighting, balcony, loges, and service kitchen, we can accommodate parties of 100 to 400. A security-patrolled, lighted parking also is provided.

The marble and glass entrance Atrium of The Scoular Building may be rented separately for smaller groups, or may be rented in addition to the Ballroom as a separate cocktail/reception area.

Our Ballroom Coordinator is available to assist you throughout the planning of your event and will put you in touch with Omaha's finest caterers. Catering services must be provided by one of Scoular's "preferred caterers". Many rental items needed for your event may also be obtained through our coordinator.

The Scoular Building Ballroom creates a memorable occasion for you and your guests:

• Room Dimensions: 68' x 77'— over 5,200 square feet
• Reserved to one event per day
• Sit down dinner with bars and dance floor: 100-350 persons
• Stand-up reception with bars and buffet: Up to 400 persons
• Buffet Reception with bars and dance floor: 100-400 persons
• Theater style seating: Up to 400 persons
• Excellent acoustics
• Full Holiday Decor during Holidays

DEPOSITS: (Cash or Checks made payable to Scoular Properties, Inc. only.)

• Dates are not confirmed until the rental agreement is signed and deposit received.
• The balance of the rental fee plus a damage deposit of $1000 is due ten days prior to the event.
• The damage deposit check is deposited by The Scoular Company and is refunded within the week provided an inspection reveals that no damage to the Ballroom or surrounding areas has been incurred.

SCOULAR RENTAL FEE INCLUDES:

• Complete set-up of the Ballroom including tables, chairs and coat racks. (The Ballroom features 256 chairs; 32 - 60" round tables (seating for 8-9 guests); 4 - 8 ft. rectangular tables; 2 - 6 ft. rectangular tables; 2 - 36" round tables (often used for guest book); and metal coat racks and hangers.*
• Reserved parking .*
• Security officer on premise for entire event.*
• Ballroom clean-up following event. (Renters are responsible for removing personal items immediately following event unless prior arrangements have been made with the Ballroom Coordinator.)
• Public Address System with standing microphone.
• Dance floor - 18x18 square feet - (Additional 3 ft. panels for expanding dance floor are available through the Ballroom Coordinator at the renter’s expense. Dance floor is centered directly in front of the stage area and cannot be moved.
• Decoration Rental: We have a variety of decoration for you to choose from. Our Ballroom Coordinator will work closely with you to achieve the look you desire, in the color and style of your choice. Please inquire if intrested, and for a price estimate.

The Scoular Company requires that catering and bar service be provided by one of the following caterers. We have no minimum requirements and can work with any budget.

All caterers in this group are licensed and meet the insurance requirements established by The Scoular Company. The serving of alcoholic beverages must be coordinated through the renter’s chosen caterer only. INDIVIDUALS RENTING THE BALLROOM ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED FROM BRINGING THEIR OWN ALCOHOL ON THE PREMISES. If a cash bar is desired, it is necessary to notify the caterer at least 60 days prior to the event as a special permit may be required. Caterers use the service kitchen located just south of the Ballroom. The service kitchen has an industrial-sized refrigerator, open counter space and multiple electrical outlets across the walls.
