It was December 31, 1998 when me and my fiance were just getting ready to have all of our friends over for a New Years Eve Party. All of our friends arrived, all of us played different board games, in which one of them was The Newlywed Game at the same time we were watching TV just waiting for the Apple to drop in NY.

Once it was time to do the countdown we were all ready to toast and telling each and everyone of our friends what we are thankful for this year and what our goals for next year "1999" will be.   Everyone went and told us what they were thankful for and finally it was our turn.

I proceeded saying that I was thankful for having such a wonderful person in my life to be with my children and for someone to have accepted me the way I was and for who I was.    I was also thankful that I had such wonderful children by my side.

Finally, it was Henry's turn. He proceeded to say, "Well I am thankful that I have such a lovely woman that loves me and respect me and that I consider her my Best Friend," as he is walking to the kitchen he brings out a dozen  roses with a balloon saying I LOVE YOU. - I just thought  he was just giving me flowers and a balloon just for New Years and of course did not think anything of it. When he got on his knees and turned the balloon around ...that is when I finally realized he was proposing to me and it was just midnight January 1, 1999 when he went ahead and pop the question, I of course started crying and said Yes!!!

And that is how the love of my life proposed to me and now only 4 weeks away I am getting married and will become Mrs. Gonzalez.
